The quilt cover in it’s rightful place

The quilt in it’s natural state with all the cushions and cuddly toys all over it.

My daughter wanted a fleece backing to her cover. It’s a bit unusual but hopefully it’ll be very warm and snuggly for her.

This is my very first post on this brand new blog of mine, so please accept the very simple nature and probably tonnes of mistakes. I set myself the target of getting the web hosting and doing the first post in one day. Since that day has been my daughter’s birthday, it’s been rather busy. I’ve had a blogger blog before but according to most people I know, that doesn’t really work well with websites etc and since I now have a website (well, I will have once I’ve worked on it and made it live) that’s even more important. That old blog was more about the cards and scrapbooking too. This blog will be dedicated to the Stitchscape ideal and to the goings on at the studio hopefully. I love blogging as it can be so quick and therefore have more impact. I’m warning you now though, Iย LOVEย interraction, so please do comment as positively, constructively as you canย ALL THE TIME! ๐Ÿ™‚

Each letter is from the name of a band my daughter likes, other than the treble clef, which I think makes a great ‘stand in G’. The background is from an album my daughter likes. Jayne is a gem making this, as she did it in the week before her husband went to get a new hip. He’s doing fine now thankfully.

Since it’s my daughter’s 16th birthday today, I’ve filled this post with the photos of the quilt cover she asked for and helped to design. There’s the card I made her and the frame my fabby friend Jayne made for her birthday too on my request.

My daughter still has the card I gave her last year up on display. I machine embroidered this year’s card with a lovely sun design with the 16 in the middle. It has great texture.

I even was inspired to do some stamping on the envelope which matched the card design brilliantly and the colours

Big news today also is that I went with Mr.No to view a possible studio. It was my second viewing but Chris’s first and he was quite impressed. He of course liked a different room out of the two available, so we’ll argue (oops, I mean discuss) about that later. ย It’s opposite Trebaron garden centre, so a lovely cafe is within easy reach, which is always important for cake! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Please do say hi in the comment box and come back soon to see how my next blog post is better than this one ๐Ÿ™‚

Take care out there
