Do you only have time for a short one-off sewing session with friends every month? Do you just want to be told what you’re making, when, where and how? Do you have a stash of fabric which actually needs to be used rather than just stroked and admired? Has your sewing machine got three inches of dust on it’s box?

If you answered yes to any/all of those questions then stick around, as J-Club is for you.

J-Club Warrington is a monthly sewing club which meets every fourth Monday evening of the month at 7p.m. It gives you a two hour sewing fix every month, for those of you who are time strapped or who just can’t get a babysitter for any more than that. Every month we’ll do a different machine sewing project and have a giggle together.

I’ll also set us a themed challenge to prepare ready for the next meeting, when we can judge entries. It will all be done in the spirit of good fun and give us a great excuse to do more sewing, when we get time during the month in-between club meetings.

Money belt. J-Club Warrington

The next meeting is on April 27th when we’ll be making a money belt, which can easily be adapted to make a sewing belt, where you can fit your scissors and measuring tapes, glasses, phone etc, so when you’re sewing you don’t keep having to keep trying to find things when you’re sewing.

Hopefully by then you will all be used to the club and will have made some suggestions for activities you’d like to happen, so I’ll organise those when I receive them.

I have a little welcome pack for everyone who joins our club for the basic annual cost of £20 and 10% discount on Janome parts (full details about that will be given on the night). As a member of J-Club you will have a priority for tickets; as the club gets fuller and fuller, this will become more important. I’ll send everyone out a J-Club newsletter each month, so that if you miss a meeting, you’ll still know what went on and what the challenge is, incase you want to take part ready for the next meeting.
