I started Stitchscape over 10 years ago, not just as a business, but as a remedy for the kind of creative loneliness that only fellow sewists will truly understand. I’d been sewing at home, alone, for too long—bursting with patchwork ideas, mini triumphs, and occasional disasters, but with no one to share them with who really got it.
I craved connection. I wanted somewhere warm, colourful, and inspiring—where people could chat and laugh, just as much as they stitched. Somewhere comfy and well-equipped, where you could feel your shoulders drop in relaxation, the moment you walked in. Somewhere that wasn’t a freezing cold church hall with wobbly kid-sized chairs and questionable carpets
The thing is—those halls were full of brilliant, talented women. And it broke my heart that they were sharing their passion in such uninviting spaces. So I created something better.

What I bring to the table (besides Club biscuits & Werthers originals):
✂️ 10+ years running joyful workshops, retreats & sewcials
🌈 A passion for making creativity feel fun, not pressured
🧵 A welcoming, safe community full of encouragement (and not a cold church hall in sight)
💬 A deep belief in conversation, connection & shared experience
☕ A love of handmade projects, especially Patchwork, British makers & colour in all forms.
If you're looking for a sewing home where your patchwork is celebrated (wonky seams and all), and where you're always greeted with a smile and a spare bobbin, you're in the right place.

Take one small action a day and end the month with a colourful bundle you’ll be proud of — and a habit of making time just for you.
