Fancy some calm, friendly one-to-one help with sewing? I offer private lessons from my garden studio in Neston, Cheshire, designed especially for complete beginners. Most people who book these sessions are brand new and want to get to know their sewing machine without feeling rushed, silly, or overwhelmed. Each lesson lasts two hours and is shaped around what you need, with time to ask questions and practise. Sessions are booked at dates and times that work for both of us. You can book a single two-hour lesson for £50, or treat yourself to a block of three for £100 and build confidence gently, stitch by stitch.

Because every quilt deserves its ta-da! moment.
You know that feeling when you finally spread out your quilt top and think, ‘now what?’ That’s where I step in. Longarm quilting is the magic that takes your patchwork from ‘in progress’ to its full ta-da! moment. I’ll stitch it with care, bring out the best in your piecing, and hand it back ready for you to snuggle, gift, or show off with pride.

Retreats are where sewing meets pure indulgence. Picture this: four days of stitching, chatting, spa-ing, and not once being asked ‘what’s for tea?’ It’s your chance to recharge, learn, and make friends who understand why you squeal at perfectly matching seams.
✨ “Four days where the only drama is whether your seams line up.” ✨

Professional longarm quilting with my Handiquilter Moxie XL. From flimsy to finished, I’ll give your quilt the popular ta-da moment. Who knew your quilt could look so good?! Just wait for the great comments when you gift it! That's such a good feeling.
If sew days are the starter, retreats are the full banquet — fabric, fun, and a quilt parade for dessert. The retreats take four glorious days just for you and your sewing. Stitchscape retreats have been held everywhere from the 4⭐ Thornton Hall Hotel on Wirral Peninsula, to an Airbnb barn in Cheshire, to the dramatic landscapes of Eryri National Park in Wales. You’ll have the time and space to sink into your projects, enjoy good company, and maybe sneak in a spa session or a countryside stroll. We round things off with a joyful quilt parade on the final day — a great “ta-da!” moment to celebrate what you’ve made and the memories stitched along the way.
